Who other than the yellow watchman goby also pairs with pistol shrimp? How about the pink spotted or any others like the yasha? One store says other watchman gobies will pair with a pistol shrimp and another says only the yellow watchman will pair. I know the different types of pistol shrimp also matter.

One of my faves (because it is pretty and relatively inexpensive) is the Orange Stripe Prawn Goby. I like the watchman you listed as well. There are lots of gobies that pair with shrimp and picking the right goby and shrimp combo can be tricky. Lots of articles out there that really go in depth on this subject.

We got the yellow watchman and a tiger pistol shrimp. Should we drip acclimate them together or separate? My husband is worried that drip acclimation is stressful and that it could effect their potential bond?

drip for a shrimp is very important, do it very slowly and remember to check the temp is correct before adding to the tank, if you can worth doing separately, the fish can be done faster, but should be ok together.
Be careful too as shrimps can jump fast and high when you try and net them.

We decided to drip separately but add at the same time as the watchman came from a tank with copper. Inverts and copper are a no go.

Heard the tiger pistol snap it’s claw when a hermit crab came too close while he was building their love den and wow.
