It's Monday and we need something easy and something to inspire us for the reefing week ahead! So today I wanted to see who has the biggest coral in their tank and of course your comment will be worthless without at least a photo! Bonus for a coral and tape measure photo!

1. How BIG is your biggest coral and what type of coral is it?

2. How long have you had your biggest coral and how big was it when you added it to the tank?

1. How BIG is your biggest coral and what type of coral is it?
Part depends on do you mean LPS, Leather, SPS - and Open or closed. My largest hard coral is about 10 inches. Largest LPS is a goniopora which is about 7 inches (when open). Have had a leather which was over 2 feet high.
2. How long have you had your biggest coral and how big was it when you added it to the tank?
about 4 years - about 3 inches.

I used to have a giant elegance coral. I got scared of ECS so traded it in for a huge wall hammer. That got BJD, so now I’m left with my largest coral being my out of control xenia.....

Got a couple over a foot.
The biggest is probably my bubble, its about 16in across and the size of a big water melon. I think its around 6 or 7 years old. The monti i got as a medium size colony and it grew pretty quick, had that about 3 years and i forgot when we introduced the procillapora but ive since had to cut that colony up cause it got too big.

Sorry old pic and no tape measure, tank is 500g 6’x5’...my Mag. anemone was about 24” in this pic, got to almost 36” so I cut it in half at end of last year. Kept 1 for myself, it’s already back to over 24”
Have a few corals that are at least 24”

I've got a Hollywood stunner chalice that is probably about a foot long. It was probably about an inch or two when I bought it five or six years ago. I will try and get a photo later today

My miyagi tort colony is about 10 inches tall, about 5 or 6 years old; I can't remember. Started from a 1.5" frag.

But my biggest colony is my branching hammer. It is probably 15 or 16" across. It also started out as a single head, and is now probably over 20 heads. I can't even remember how old it is...

I'm working on some baby monster shrooms. It will be interesting how big the mom colonies actually get. Never actually measured any of the but the slots in my racks are 3/4" for size refference. I want to say a cpl are bigger than 6" now maybe 7" and growing:D
I'll have to go through some pictures I have a bunch more:)

My biggest is my hollywood stunner chalice as well, at about a foot across. Everything else I have are small colonies or frags.
It almost seems like hollywood stunner chalice shouldn't count because of how quick they grow and how massive they get
