The cup coral started out about 3 inches and in 4 years it was about 14". The Duncan started out 2 heads and quit counting over 100 heads. Had a long polyp toadstool started smaller than my thumb and in 2.5 years was over 12 inches across. I won't even keep monticaps or chalice as they grow like weeds over everything. I sold everything I had 300 gallon system for next to nothing because of moving. I was going to stay out of hobby but getting back in just lots smaller reefer 300xl waiting for them to be back in stock.

My LPS/Softie/Goni tank is going well and all getting fairly sizeable. The largest is the Sinularia, about 4 years old and dominates the tank. Hard to specify a size, probably around a foot square. The Cynarina gets to about 8” wide at it’s largest, the Trachy about 6” (it’s a little more retracted in this photo) and the Goni is around 7”. The Zoanth garden keeps growing (-;. Tank is a 3’ RSR 250.

1. How BIG is your biggest coral and what type of coral is it?

It is a frog Spawn and it’s approximately 8” when closed up.

2. How long have you had your biggest coral and how big was it when you added it to the tank?

This has been in my tank for 1.5 hrs. However in full disclosure it is smaller than when I got it. It currently had about 15 heads on it. I frag a few every few months as it grows fast. When I got it it had over 40 heads and was too big for my tank. A friend of mine had a bad tank crash while moving. This one one of the only survivors so he gave it to me. All he wanted in retread a frag when he was ready again.

Just because:

My next biggest is a Green Candy Cane. It was 1 head when I got it 13 months ago. It now had about 50 heads, and that is after me fragging it last month making 12 three headed frags. Currently it is about 5” across. Again grows like a weed.

Number 3 is a Royal Blue Stag Horn Acro I got 12 months ago. It is about 4” now. Again last month I fragged more than 1/2 of it due to its growth rate on my tank. I made 10 one inch frags from it. I like to give frags of this away to newer reefers in the hobby as a welcome gift. Trying to “pay it forward” for those who did the same to me years ago. (I was given an Aptasia in ‘95 for my SW tank. Lol)

3 feet across the bottom then 3 feet up the back wall!
I have too many fish that have developed a real taste for my previous corals but won't eat the GSP.:(
Wife prefers the fish over the corals sooooo... might as well run with it.
I'm open to all frag donations to see which ones they won't eat. We'll call it a science project.;Facepalm;Playful

This thread is pathetically phallic.

My purple stylo has been fragged back many times, but it is presently pushing through 7 inches across and needs another trim.

You can tell I am overly focused on the SPS because I forgot about this pink chalice that is currently 13 inches across after being fragged.
