Title.
Past couple months I’ve been trying my absolutely hardest to get my phosphates and nitrates down.

After months I was finally able to get my nitrate to around 1-2 and my phosphates to around 0.05ish sometimes a bit lower

I’ve been dosing NoPox for about 3 months about 5ML daily and recently stopped. Now I’m dosing 1.2ml of ME nitrate.....

but now I have some GHA on my frag rack and for some reason on this Favia.....

I’m scared to dose any amenio acids out of fear of raising my Nitrates/Phosphates back to higher levels

Keeping ultra low nutrients can allow nuisance algaes to take hold. Lowering them quickly most likely caused this to happen.

SO in other words..

time to make the tank dirty?

Let nutrients increase slowly. Each tank is different, but all can experience a bottoming out of nutrients and have nuisance algaes take hold, regardless of age.

My own tank runs around 40 ppm N03 and .02 P04. I have no nuisance algae throughout my system.
