With the established tang being so small and the new comer being much larger it MAY work. but there is a change the larger one will terrorize the smaller one. I always add all my tangs at once. I have 9 tangs in my tank with 4 being Zebrasoma's and have no issues.

Ime never put 2 tangs together. Eventually they fight. Id choose 1 tang, or many at least 5.

its gunna be a toss up. I would rearange my rockwork and make it so that the tangs both need to find new homes that way the existing tang doesnt feel over dominant and the big yellow tang also has a fair chance to establish itself as well. could still end up with some fighting tho. such is the multiple tang life

These Are my least aggressive tangs. Put sailfin tang in first as you have- should do well
I just added an 8+” sailfin tang yesterday

I’ve had success adding a tang to an established tang tank by using the mirror method. Gives the bully time to admire themself while the newbie gets familiar with ins & outs of the tank.

I have a yellow tang. I added two scopas tangs. Two of the 3 tangs got along nicely. Over time two of them killed the third scopas tang. The two of them fight but not to the death. More just chasing each other.
