Wow, you had a great looking hex build!

I hope the bubbles aren't anything to worry about. I'm about 85% ready to buy the same cube and I'm a bit nervous now!
Thank you! The hex was about 4 years along in those pics. I was just getting into SPS.
I'm not too worried about the bubbles they seem to be staying isolated to the top 6 inches of the seems. I'm going to leave the water in for a bit and see if it gets worse. These tanks come with a lifetime warranty ( if you use one of their stands) so I think it will be OK. I built my stand and it's much stronger than theirs. If they are willing to guarantee the tanks the seems should hold.

Sorry for your losses, but glad to see you're back at it again! We can tell you took great care of your coral, and looks like it will be even better this time.
What are your plans for the livestock? Are you going to do a mixed reef again? More fish?
I was pretty upset about the hex tank going down. This tank will be mostly SPS, but I can't help mixing it up a little. There will be some room for LPS and a few softies.

Still deciding on fish.

This tank is going to be way better than the last. I am doing it right this time. The last tank was all DIY and I cheaped out on equipment.

Shred5 If this tank starts leaking after I get it stocked I will be angry as well.

Well I am not going to risk it.. It seems they are replacing every ones so Marineland must be concerned about it..
I cant do nothing about mine because I had it drilled for the x-aqua's...

This is the sump and calcium reactor I have coming from Jeff at Lifereef. Mine has the skimmer in the sump. This is almost the exact setup, but I'm also getting a 16 gallon refugium.

I hope you all know that's not a picture of my sump. I'm going to attempt to have my sump setup just like the picture I posted. Its the same equipment I ordered.

How do you have your canopy?
Are you asking how I attached my canopy?
I wanted to keep the open look of the frameless tank so the canopy is mounted above.
I used the metal uprights on 3 corners. I used a chain bolted to the ceiling on the corner in front of the 93 so the view is not obstructed.

Not sure if you can see in the second picture, but the holes in the upright made it easy to hide all the wires.

Setup my frag tank as a QT. Starting the cycle with a little ammonia and a smashed up silverside. I think it will be ready for the first round of fish in a week or two.

Water cleared up nice in the QT. Setup the overflow as a makeshift filter. I put a small powerhead in and then broke up some liverock. Topped it off with filter floss and a bag of activated carbon. Should work well to quarantine my fish while I prepare my display tank.
