Dosing schedule

Just got my first dosing pump and trying to figure out my schedule for 2 part. For the alk specifically would it be better to even it out over 24 hours or ramp up a little at night to off set ph swing?

Catching shrimp

Trying to catch a few peppermint shrimp in my tank. I did a homemade inverted soda bottle trap that seems to be working well for my skunk shrimp but not the peppermint. Any tips or ideas for getting these peppermint shrimp out?
