I’m currently already using the Tunze blade but I do find the blade comes detached from the clip sometimes and ends up wobbling in the holder, the other problem I have had is the glass protector sliding away from the handle! Really disappointed as it does such a good job at cleaning the glass from previous scrapers I have used, I probably only have to clean the glass maybe twice a week.

I use a strange Technique I worked out on my own, never heard of anyone else doing this, but probably not the first. All pumps off, scrape the glass slow and straight down creating these “French fry” shaped blobs of algae. Then I suck them up with the turkey baster or two fishes “thing” feeder from the bottom. Rather than scattering my algae to the entire tank, I actually remove over 90% of it from my tank. Since I started doing this the time between the return of algae , and the number of time I have to clean the glass is reduced by half. Also my filters and skimmer stay cleaner as well, because I am not scattering all the algae. You can keep your scraper, won’t work with the way I clean my tank.

I use a mag float once a week. I hate the thing I can’t get close to the corners so there is lines of algae next to silicone.

I would love to try one of these, I never had the chance, my nano is a pain in the butt, with the curved glass in front I always have to stick my hand in it to get the bottom most portion on the sides and almost all of the front pane, LOL.

Do I have to note a bonus entry as an R2R Supporting Member? Not automagically applied :)

I use a mag float. I have had it for a long time but it no longer glides smoothly across the glass. In for an entry.

I use a razor on extension set. This worked great on my nano, but my 60 cube takes forever and I always miss a part. The cube has 1/2” glass so I need a strong magnetic scraper.
