I need some help wiring up a 2-lamp T5 ballast for a 1-lamp setup. This ballast is dimmable. I attached a photo of what the ballast looks like and the wiring diagram printed on it for a 2-lamp setup. Thanks for the help!

If I understand correctly, you want to know how to safely disable the 2nd lamp?

If that is correct, you can remove the 2 red wires and the yellow next to them to disable the lamp on that side. I would need to see a picture with more information on the brown wire to make a good recommendation there. Specifically, how it connects between the two lamps.

That's right. Well I called the manufacturer... they indicated there is no way to wire this ballast up so that only one of the lamps functions. He went on further to say they you won't find a ballast supporting just one single lamp on the market (I think he might have just been talking about reefing?). I still don't know if there is some "unsafe" way to do this but I guess there is no standard way. I went ahead and just wired up both - it wasn't as bright I thought it would be so it worked out.
