Punk i prefer more classic, with the clash or the sex pistols.
Had the fortune of getting to see the last concert held at cbgb’s before it shuddered and moved to NV. Was a lot of the same acts that made it famous in the first place.

Ska flogging molly maybe? I like sublime but they are a terrible show live lol.

Saw them at roseland ballroom, they were very unenergetic. It was like i was listening to their recored album, but in person. This was their first tour with rome, maybe they have gotten better?

I dabbled in the '80's and wouldn't have gotten into the music if it wasn't for Tim Morse (AxCx, Horrible Earth), Ian King(current F.U.s guitarist) and Matt Pierce(The Unband).

Black Flag
Misfits
Bad Brains
Gang Green
Slap Shot
F.U.s/Straw Dogs
Suicidal Tendencies
Circle Jerks
GBH
Corrosion of Conformity

Well said

Check out Downfall; Matt & Tim's lesser known band that came between Operation Ivy and Rancid. There's some MP3s floating around the web but here's a playlist of some of their tunes . New Regulations & North Berkeley are good songs to get the feel

Growing up in the Bay Area in the 90s was fun. :)
