“Walter” is in QT alone after loss of tri color wrasse durin quarantine. Getting a new one next week so he’ll have a tank mate. He’s very shy but coming out more now and taking frozen reef frenzy in small doses. Will start QT over when other fish arrives but plan on letting him get a bit larger before intro into big tank. There’s a shrimp just itching to meet him.

Just a quick update on the QT. I went to a not so LFS in another state and found a little oasis in Clarksville Indiana. Skipped out on repurchasing to wrasse and got three queen Anthias for Walter to buddy up with. They were pretty shy at first but started eating on the third day and now gobble the baby brine shrimp and LRS nano frenzy like champs. Two more weeks and everybody goes to the main display. Mains doing good, got a n a new shipment from AquaSD and they are awesome. I’ll be placing them this weekend in the spots I have picked out. Progressing slowly but steadily after the fallow time. Enjoy the recent updated pics. Happy Reefing

Been so little while in updating things. Life is busy right now but won a few lost a few battles recently
Wins: Stability has finally arrived. Ph, Alk, ca,salinity all looking good. Some easy sps I won from WWC are doing great and basing out. Three fish doing good and I’ve got some promising hopes for my two tangs making it through qt with the advice of @Brew12 @HotRocks @4FordFamily and many others. Things are looking up.
Coralline looks greater than ever
Losses: kingpin chalice frag from @WWC fragtoberfest just whitened and gone. Never really took off. Hi voltage platy same. Banished to the boneyard in back of tank in hopes that something miraculous will take place.
Battling: Aiptasia! Been using epoxies to plug the little bas*^?!s into the rock or taking the plug off the rubble and nuking it.
Banana boom chalice still as it was when I bought but not growing like other chalices in vacinity. Smh
Few pic and will update soon.

Got my two tangs through quarantine and ready to move on up to the big house. I think I’m more nervous now than the whole time they were in QT.
It’s so funny, the kole tang follows the yellow everywhere. I guess qt together made them buds. Anyway enough of my rambling, many thanks to all those who had a hand in helping with all the advice and answers.

So I’ve been a little lax in updating but life does get in the way. Had some gains and losses since last time.
Got my three boxes from WWC of the corals subscription I won on here a while back. Thought I’d try some easy sps since I was at it. Packages were awesome from them. They were above and beyond what you would expect for $99. Unfortunately most of them were not meant for my tank. I had no idea at the time but I think I do now. Too late for those little guys though. :(. I do have a green slimer that is doing particular well, all fuzzy and all. And the lps are doing great.
With that said I was at a Big Blue Reef club meeting and borrowed our par meter and to my surprise I do not have enough par to grow sps except in the very tip top of my rock work. 180 max. so rethought the issue and revamped my bulb layout and changed out the actinic for a coral plus and was able to get about 200. No wonder right? I know the actinic is about it of the range for most par meters so at some point may add a reefbrite actinic to the mix. That’s for later. I highly recommend renting or borrowing a par meter to all the noobs out there!
Got my third brs doser hooked up for my Ca and don’t have to manual dose every night now so one more item I don’t have to maintain. Just fill the ato after work and check all is good and feed the babies.
That’s about it, every fish doing great, lps doing good. Had a little bacterial? thing going with an Acan and a chalice that I think is under control (fingers crossed) but this hobby is always a challenge. Removed dipped, glued the edges and hopefully will recover. Now for the pics

So for some crazy I know reason my neon spatter hammer is receding and I think a couple of heads are dead. I’ve done my water changes regularly and am hoping that a good Coral RX dip and getting my carbon reactor set up will do the trick. Only new additions have been one green with purple tip hammer in the vacinity. More to follow

Nutrients haven't dropped too low, have they?

No I checked them again today, still NO3 @ 7 and PO4 @ 0.11. Been that way for a while.
Gonna take out and dip in Coral RX tomorrow. Seemed to help the chalice and acan.
Don't know what else to try
What else could it be?

No I run anti sync reef crest during day, lagoon at night. I did clean powerheads and put back within 1/2” where they were.

Just thinking of things I’ve done over last two weeks.

Added two headed green/blue hammer in vacinity and a Duncan in another part of tank.

I did replaced a C+ bulb last weekend while I was mapping my tank par but the par was within 5. Old read 100, with new bulb read 105. Didn’t think that was a significant difference. (I run 2 B+, 1C+ 1 actinic)

I ran a mesh bag of carbon as I do every month for two days.

I had one night this week my heaters couldn’t keep up and the tank got down to 77.1 where the low is 77.5 typically.

Typically feed LRS frozen twice daily to fish + 1/4 sheet nori

I dosed 1 ml KZ LPS amino for 2 days then stopped (didn’t know if it was cause because they kept receding so took it out of equation)

I use polyp labs polyp booster and reef Roids as directed once a week

I know it’s the mystery of reefing sometimes but dang. That’s all that comes to mind
