Those are absolute beasts! They must push around a huge amount of water!
Now THAT is a build thread.
Great I’d luck guys I’m sure it is going to be awesome. For sure a stop p next time I’m in Florida
2 new stores at once! Wow you really need some good luck wishes.
yep - The RFGS200 has an Optimal Suggested Flow of around 1,800-2,500 GPH, but they can go well behind that.
Yes it is! Just wait until we actually get to the build out of our show tanks, lol!
Please do come by! You’ll love it I’m sure
Thank you!!! And yes, we’ll need all we can get!
I used to run a smaller version many years ago and you’re right they are amazing. The spread for a closed loop is incredible.
I will DEFINITELY make the 2500 mile trek to check this out...
Congrats guys!!! Would it be wrong to plan a vacation around seeing the shop?
After seeing the proposed layout and plan for the new mega store, it might be wrong not to plan a vacation around seeing the shop!!!
Sounds like a good plan to me
Thank you so much and not at all! I’m sure that’s completely normal. Just don’t mention it to a non reefer, they might think you’re just a bit crazy... but then again that’s why we do this right? Hahaha
Sounds like a fantastic idea! We will see you then
Very cool. Looking forward to this. What is your plan for HVAC? I can provide some suggestions for you.
We have 3 units installed totaling 37.5 tons. Hopefully that'll be enough
Back again with another update...
Progress being made! Sorry for the mess!
Drywall starting to go up to separate the Retail from Farm.
Crane for the show tanks!
Sneak peak at some farm grow out display tanks for the mother colonies!
New break room while under construction. Its massive!
And here it is currently with the pool table and kitchen! Still more to do.
Sneak peek at some of the new offices. (better shots coming)
And our new meeting room!
Stay tuned as things are moving quick...
Great pictures of the progress - thanks for sharing!!! It may be just the camera angle, but the tanks in the new farm seem like they're a lot deeper than the one's in your current farm. Why did you choose to make the change and won't they be harder to work in? How many gallons are the farm tanks?
You're right... at least 28" but looks like it may be 30++"
I guess they plan on keeping some MASSIVE Mother Colonies happy.
Oh no, so the current display tanks will be coming down soon? I need to take a trip to see these still!
!!! Awesome build !!! This will be the Mother of the Build Threads..
We appreciate you following along! They are quite a bit deeper, and yes these will be more difficult to work on, but these "display" tanks are not for working in, but for planting and allowing the mother colonies to grow out into huge fragable colonies. These will supply our raceways, which will eventually become sellable frags. These tanks are 96" x 60" x 30" = 750 gallons. Our raceways will be 96" x 48" x 16" = 350 gallons
30" is exactly correct! And yes, that's the hope
They are already in the process of coming down... Much of the 900 has been taken down already for the most part.
Thank you so much! Just keep coming back to check on it
Darn! Well, I'm sure your next displays will be just as nice. I should have made it happen earlier though.
