Hello Reef2Reefers!

We are super excited for this huge announcement! For the first time ever World Wide Corals is going to open a second retail location!

We chose Winter Park, FL for our next location because of its convenience being 15 minutes from downtown Orlando. Winter Park is a great community filled with museums, shops, and beautiful parks. It has consistently been voted as one of the
Best Places to Live in Central Florida. Since we have a large number of customers in the Winter Park area already we felt like it would be a great place to call our second home.

The address for the new location is:
World Wide Corals - Winter Park
1909-A Aloma Ave.
Winter Park, FL 32792

Here's a shot of the storefront!

What would you guys like to see in the new store? We love feedback from our customers.

1) Have you thought about having a waterproof tray table for reefscaping where your team could work with a customer to build a live rock design then the customer could take a picture and attempt to recreate it in their tank once they get home?

2) Similarly, have a white board and markers or even write on an existing flow tank where you can explain and demonstrate the best approaches to flow and placement of returns, wave makers, powerbeads, etc. and then (similar to #1) the customer could take a picture and use that as a blueprint when they are setting up there system. People are visual and they don't always remember what they were told days or weeks later when they are finally setting up their tank. Additionally the demonstration tank could have various pumps merchandised nearby for a seamless purchase after the explanation.

3) Have a good selection of safe, live foods.

4) Have truly great signage! Although it is often called the "silent salesperson" in retail training, few places actually have signage that would be good enough to be considered a silent salesperson. If your salesperson explains the same thing regularly, then you need to strongly consider how to put it on a sign or handout.

In addition to being educational, all of these ideas should have a notably positive impact on sales both in the moment as well as increasing the rate of return customers and referrals. Best of luck!

A bar! With a happy hour! Imagine all the sales you will make after your customers get a few drinks in them!

I can't wait to see the new store in person. I just went to the existing store for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I loved the selection of frags and how they were displayed. I hope you have at least as many of those tanks.

1) We have, both of our new stores will have tables next to the live rock bins to setup aquascaping.

2) This is a great idea but not sure how many people would ask for a flow blueprint. In our large store we are thinking about having a small tank setup in our Ecotech display with Vortechs where we can demonstrate different flow setups/settings.

3) We have tossed this idea around in the past. We go behind the scenes at Sea World often and we are always impressed by their live food breeding setups. It is something we may consider in the future at the mega store.

4) This is something we are very serious about with our new stores. We are thinking about using TVs everywhere for digital signage that we can update frequently. We are also perfecting our thermal labeling techniques to get some quality thermal printed synthetic labels that we can place everywhere cleanly (even underwater) and eventually have more information on everything other than just name and price. They can also contain a QR code where you scan it and get more detailed info about the item from our website.

Thanks for your feedback!
