I currently plan on upgrading from a 5gal to a 29gal, and have a kessil a80 tuna blue currently, I was thinking the most reasonable upgrade to have sufficient lighting in the new tank would be just another a80, are there any other practical solutions I could check out?

Either the noopsyche or smatfarm light would do wonders on that tank. They are both very affordable and come with the mounts. You would only need one of either. You could stay with 2 kessils and that would work too.

Good rec, I see the 2 a80s would give me 24x12 of coverage- what does that mean for the remaining, in this case 6 inches, tank area? Kessil isn’t very clear on par to begin with does it just mean generally inadequate lighting in tanks bigger?
