Would adding a spotted mandarin with a blue/green mandarin end in heartbreak?

I have a blue/green mandarin in my 125G tank. I am playing with the idea of adding a spotted mandarin. Food is not an issue. I am mainly concerned about fighting between them.

Are mandarins of different sub-species known to fight? Mandarins are so relaxed, it's hard to imagine them fighting, but I know they do in some cases.

You e probably best served with one or the other. They can definitely be territorial. All that, and unless your pod population is just bonkers, a couple of Manderins can decimate a population rather quickly

I had target mandarin for 6 months. Happy and healthy. Then I bought a blue mandarin and the target just kept biting and dragging it around the tank. I separated them quickly.
