Would just a yellow tang work for my tank?

Would just a yellow tang work for a 65 gallon cube tank, would it take up the need a of a bristletooth tang? I plan on trading the tang when it gets to big for the tank for another tank every couple of months or per year and a half.

It probably would be "ok" in a 65 gallon cube for the first few months but it will get too big. A bristletooth like a tomini needs a longer aquarium rather than taller.

Yes I am planning on getting on of there tangs because they are a lot cheaper too because they are captive bred.

A Biota tang would be just fine in that tank. My local petco has them for 200beans

I sold him to a friend because I ended up upgrading and plan to buy another but for the months that he was with me he lived fine with a Tomini

I have a Biota yellow and he was about the size of a quarter when I got him. He's about the size of 35 cents now This is a 42 cube and I think he will have quite a while in here before he grows out and needs more room. They are great fish from Biota.

Yes it has quite nicely. It was almost transparent when I got it. I have had it for a little over 3 months.
