Isn't the wide angle lenses for the gen 3 basically the same thing?

The diodes sit down into the lenses on the G4s which allow them to diffuse better I believe. I think the diffuser that was announced for the G4s would probably accomplish the same thing.

Oh gotcha, In that case I actually prefer the Gen 3’s. I don’t like that the Gen 4’s light is so blinding looking at them from the front.

Just looking at this picture here you can see how the one on the left is blinding to look at.

Yea, if light creep is an issue for your setup, the G4 would exacerbate that.

Are you running Get 3's now? I am about a year in with them and finally moved to the AB+ and am starting to get good growth, but it is so blue...

I just picked up a pair of xr30w gen 3’s. Still in the process of setting them up. Waiting on aquatic life to release their 60” t5 hybrid next month.
