Hi All!
Earlier this week I posted a thread asking for some opinions and if you had any experience with WWC subscriptions and if you did what you had received. Not too many people had responded but there were a few members that were following to see the responses.
Long story short I received my 1st month box today! All in it was under $125 with shipping for 5 frags, some stickers, a vial of reefroids & some hot sauce. So figure an average of $25 a coral. Here is what I received. Pictures are not what received but for illustration...
1. WWC Yellow Submarine Zoa’s (4 polyps)

2. WWC Starfire Zoa’s (7 polyps)

3. 5th Element Blastomussa (1polyp)

4.WWC Christmas Favia (2 polyps)

5. Rainbow Montipora (.5”- .75”)

So this was the 1st time buying from WWC and it was a very good experience. Packaging was great as you would expect, came with instructions and everything it said it would. (Was really hoping for the T-shirt, but maybe next month).

When you look at what this would cost retail it would be around $320 plus shipping. So for $99 plus shipping I basically received a 69% discount on each frag...

The frags opened right up and all are very happy already so that is great. They arrived 30 mins after schedule no big deal coming through a huge tropical storm on the east coast but delivery was perfect!

All and all very happy with this 1st delivery from @WWC and can’t wait to see what comes in next month!
I would recommend this to anyone that is that starting out like myself who is OK with getting something they may not have been thinking about before.

We do something similar but with wine. Their monthly or quarterly shipments contain anywhere from 3 to 6 bottles. Club membership. I treat it a lot like dues to a club. Besides the wine coming monthly or quarterly it includes free wine tasting (some unlimited guests others 3 to 5) and a discount on purchases. On the surface you may say wait, that is expensive. It isn't if you are tasting, picking up or restocking on your favourites, or like to try new stuff.

I didn't know what this was but recall reading another thread in which case the hobbyist displayed their wares. I probably wouldn't do this but had I known what it was it sure dang well would have been on my Father's Day list. It is going to be added to my Christmas and gift list for sure.

Honestly, I think it is a great idea and a heck of a way to get introduced to WWC corals. Thanks for trying it. Thanks for posting about it.

I'd say what you got, while not a bad deal, is something you could get for $10-$20 per frag from the LFS or hobbyists in my area. However, that's certainly not the case for everyone, so this could be fun for someone that likes a surprise and is newer to the hobby.

@saf1 No problem, I forgot to mention 10% off on online purchases too! I believe you can also add to you box for shipping on additional online or eBay purchases as well.

More than likely, I’m in NY and NOTHING is cheap here trust me. I have been trying to hook up with some local reefers in a 50 mile radius but with the ‘Rona it hasn’t been too easy.

See if you can find a local reef forum if you haven't already, but yeah, I hear you about NY fish stores being more expensive.
