Do I need to drip acclimate a clam? Or is matching salinity and floating for temp okay?
Drip acclimation probably works best for most clams. Just don't let the water get cold while doing so. Normally drip acclimations are set up to be toooo slow = drip drip drip, it should be more like = drip, drip, drip or even a slow steady stream. So just be vigilant and don't let the acclimation go too much over 45 minutes or so.

Thanks, do I need to worry about ammonia buildup at that point?

You really shouldn't unless the clam doesn't arrive in perfect condition. Even then just drain off some of the shipping water and then start acclimating. You should then cut the acclimation time as well, but hopefully everything will be just fine :)

Let's bring some life to this Clearance Sale thread!

We are going to have a contest to see who can come up with the best MEME!

Think of "what would you do for a Klondike bar?"

Well, we want to see "what would you do to be the first one in the door to our new Superstore location" in Meme form.

The contest will be peer judged by how many likes they get and the top two most liked Memes will receive one FREE month GOLD Coral Club Subscription.

Click HERE for more info on our Subscriptions

There is no limit to how many you can post, plus the winners will be posted to our Social Media Feeds to be viewed by all!

Contest ends Sunday at Noon (PST to give everyone a chance - even those West Coasters)! Any Meme's posted after Contest ends will not be counted. Vote throughout the sale, winners will be announced on Monday!

***We reserve the right to use these Meme's in the future, which we hope you would think is a good thing, lol***
