Well I think it’s all personal situation. $400 to someone with only $500 expendable income is completely different than $3K with someone who had $25K expendable income.$400 is do-able. I can't imagine dropping 3 racks on coral.

LolMy husband just likes the gear. Which is great cause I'm normally telling him I don't need controllers and stuff. He's color blind... very color blind. So doesn't really enjoy the corals. But he loves an excuse to buy equipment.
nah I was in a car accident and only make $100 a week rn and for the rest of the year but I've still managed to spend a couple thousand on coral within four months of having my tank! I thought a 20 gallon would save me money hahaha. i want to see thatthose snowflake polyps are so pretty and delicate.... someone mentioned a mason jar with xenia.... I may try something like that.
