xf230s vs. 2f250s for Elos 120XL

Curious if anyone could provide guidance on whether the 250s are overkill on 48" long tank, I have read 5-6' tank is better but this tank is extra wide @ 30" so thought the 250 may be better so I can run at lower speed (quieter) but if the 250s are just going to be total overkill I will go with 230s?

nope, i have 1 x 250 on my 48x30, sps tank, i'm considering getting a 2nd one.

I agree! 250s for sure. I have a pair of 230s on my 80 gallon and I’m considering adding a few mp10s to add flow

I had 2 250s in a 50g cube. I'd rather be able to turn up the power on larger powerheads than run smaller powerheads at Max power. I was running them at 70%

My 2 250s aren't enough on my 6ft tank, they make it about half way. I'm think of ordering a 280 instead of one of them. 250s will work great

I just bought the 250 will that be enough on its own for sps? Its not a full 46 inches it’s only 43 inches
