yellow cloudy water

hello, i currently have a tank with 4 triggers and 4-star fish. all still small about 3 inches each. my waters readings a fine my ph as well. I did a 50% water change and bought a skimmer and it's still a bit yellow? and ideas on what can I do to clear the tank. I don't have any coral it's a fish-only tank.

Add some carbon. It will remove the yellowing from the water. I use white buckets to check how clear my water is. If it has a tint of yellow I add some GAC to my reactor.

Thanks . I cleaned my filter out and realized it has carbon inside it I changed it and I also cleaned my filter was super messy I used the water from the filter to keep my beneficial. I only replaced the carbon, I’m trying this before buying a media. How long do you thing it’ll take to clear up ?one photo is from a week ago and the close up phone is from today.
