Yellow coris wrasse doing training for the Olympics…

Yellow Coris Olympic Swimming

So this weekend I noticed wrasse was swimming near the surface then goes down then goes back to the top. Very active eats like a pig, social with other fish.

No idea what’s going on with this dude if this is even normal? I’ve had him for well over a year and is a great tankmate….

i asked my local club they said he was training for the Olympics lol…

I love my three yellow coris. Never seen them do that though. Maybe there was some food floating on the surface that you didn't see? Hopefully he's not doing this because of he's suffering from low oxygenation due to something like brooklynella

Nah he does it throughout the day. Also nothing has changed in this tank in months. Nothing new added fish wise.

I think he’s just showing off. Went to bed at it’s normal time as well.

It looks like he's surface skimming like a mullet, except at high speed.
