Yellow tang

I bought a yellow tang on Monday he has been eaten and swimming around good i looked at him tonight with my blue lights on. he looks like he is white just wondering if that's normal. Any suggestions would help or is that normal

I'm not sure but I remember reading something that said at night a fish's color can fade to help it hide from predators in the wild.

I imagine it varies between lights, but my girls moms yellow tang looks very tan in her lights.

Fox faces will change color at night, along with many other fish.

No he's not sick all yellow tangs loose turn a pale white colour at night it's 100% normal
This. They lose a lot of color when they retire for the night and just before the lights go off and right after they turn on, once they're accustomed to the daily rhythm.
