Yellow watchman gobie turning white?

He is 8 days old. And was bright yellow at time of purchase. Still eating and more active than ever. What is going on?

Same thing happened with mine. When I looked it up everything was saying the females turn white. Not sure if that’s true but mine is still doing well and I’ve had it almost a year.
