Sure, would have an area of sand for him if not the entire tank. Can i put a yellow watchman goby in my 20 gallon long?
Really good advice right here. OP....you can always place your rocks on the bottom where they touch the glass instead of having the rocks sitting on the sand. This would prevent problems when fish dig.Yeah should be fine. They get to maybe 4” so I wouldn’t have too many other fish in the tank. Also if you pair with shrimp, keep an eye on your rock structure because they tend to burrow under it and make it wobble.
I have 2 clowns and a cleaner shrimp in the tank. Can i still get one?

Yup. Just pointing that out to new reefers in case anyone sees. I still see some folks placing the rocks on top of sand at times. Talked to a fellow last week who got a small engineer goby and he needs to redo his rocks. Cool fish but boy do they dig. When setting up any new tank, it's always best to place the rocks first, and then the sand. Especially if you plan on keeping any sand-dwelling fish or inverts.
