My new midas blenny is getting it's yellow color nicely after being shipped to me. What a fun fish to watch. It has it's little hole(s) that he lives in. One of the funniest things I have ever seen is this little dude backing his rear end into his hole in reverse. It got me thinking, what are some of the best specific sights that earn you a real reefing badge? I also really enjoy watching my tuxedo urchin, we have a family rule to not look directly at it because "he's hiding" and it would hurt his feelings.

You haven't truly lived until you've witnessed _________________ ?

the destruction of some part of your home due to leaving the RO on.
I fill my bucket in the sink. I have overflowed my garage one too many times. Now my precious RO/DI water upon filled just goes down the drain :(

Not a true reefer untill
*You’ve had a mouth full of dirty saltwater from Siphoning
*had a shrimp molt and fed it’s shell to your anemone
*fed a dead fish to your anemone
*survived a few hour power outage with an air stone
*left RO DI on and flooded floor
*used your girlfriends stockings to make a media bag

I always think it’s amazing to see a shrimp or even a hermit crab release it’s babies into the water column. I usually notice it’s happening though because the fish are darting around eating them before they even had a chance!
In a close second is watching a breeding pair of clownfish fiercely protect their eggs.

Picked up a shell at the beach while on vacation and got to watch your giant hermit crab take up residence. Probably one of the coolest moments of reefing for me. Sorry about the blues.

It’s so cool to see them switch shells. Their bodies are not what I expect them to be though!

Same. I was actually surprised how much is actually inside the shell. Probably all muscle. First and last time I have seen it in person.

That one fish that is triple digits however when someone looks at the tank they ignore that fish and look at the clownfish or cheaper fish in the tank. Then when they look at your most expensive they go “How much did you pay for that?” You then answer… and their first reaction is “For that?!”
Sorry scribbles…

I think it was less than a month after finishing my basement I forgot about my RO on the ground level. All of my drywall work and painting in the basement living room water damaged :crying-face:
