I'd have to go with the super cryptic marine betta.
(Best pic I could get of her).
The times I see her out and about, she looks so graceful swimming, and the blueish (sp?) White spots are mesmerizing. 65 bucks

Not bragging but that $100 fish online is available for $5 in my LFS. The cost of livestock mesmerises me.

Powder blue tang for me in this price range. Mine cost $30 at about 3" and is beautiful, well-behaved and constantly grazing.

I don’t think there is a sweet spot. If you love it and think you can handle it give it a try.

Only as far as feeding, if you call spot feeding live hard. She did eat my skunk cleaner the other day, that's the only issue I have with her.

Favorite sub $100 fish is a radiant wrasse. Actually Just got one today to replace my sducidal one that went down my overflow this time last year.

Mines got to be emperor Angel because I love growing them from juvenile to adult to watch the different stages of colour change as it grows and its final colours are beautiful.

My LFS had this gorgeous little one in and for $70 I just couldn’t say no. She’s a beauty and I’m looking forward to watching her transition. The lights are now off until tomorrow and she’s already found her little cave where she’s tucked away now.
