I was wondering if when I get a zebra moray it is going to eat my CBS tho I have seen them cleaning them and living happily and some websites say that every shelled creature in my reef is doomed? help?

I kept a snowflake with one for a while but the CBS was huge and I bought the eel at 6in but at some point my CBS disappeared and there was only one possible culprit.

Zebra's are great with fish / usually no risk. That shrimp will be eaten quickly. We used to feed large frozen shelled shrimp to one at a store I worked at. That is their preferred food.

My jeweled eel chowed my cleaner shrimp, food is food, especially in a confined space. Zebras do eat shrimp in the wild, and crabs would definitely be on the menu for these guys. I don't know about snails, I've never had a problem with snails and eels. Urchins are also a good cleaner.

sometimes if the tank is large enough and if the eel is fed enough I have heard of them being kept with shrimp without problems, however 9 times out of 10 that shrimp turns into a snack
