Alright a quick update with pics to come tomorrow!

ugly phase is pretty much beat out! And I’ve had some major changes to the stocking list!

unfortunately the watanabe didn’t make it through QT and I think the 10 gal is too small to QT a genicanthus as they normally come in fairly large. So my stocking list has changed haha!

right now I’m aiming to get this tank filled with flashers and fairy wrasse with a list looking like this.

-mcclane my two spot rang
-the clown

3 of the following fairy wrasses
- pintail wrasse
- lineatus wrasse
- Scott’s
-Solon
- exquisite
- hooded
will probably opt for other as they catch my eye, but the Pintail is a must!!

a few flashers, not to clues in on flasher wrasse so any that catch my eye will do haha!

If I get a sand bed, I’ll get a yellow coris and lennardi.

-decora goby
-Bangaii cardinals

here’s to some happy hunting from stockists for my friend!

it’s been a minute, but a few updates!

I’ve added in a carpenters flasher wrasse!

and I’m hoping to get my mits on a pintail, lunatus or hooded fairy wrasse as the next wrasse added. In the meantime, I’m juggling between adding a few decora/one decora goby, and also a coral croucher, even though she might pester some of my acros haha! Beyond that, the tank is coming along nicely. Here are a few pics

Another update!

tank is getting there! Acros are encrusting and growing, algae is dissipating and I jumped into my live dangerously ethos and added to a flameback Pygmy angel so far so good (and yes I’m knocking on wood every minute or so haha!)

next fish will be a lunate/pintail wrasse or sunburst anthias!

Alright another update!! Tank is tracking well with my acros growing and colouring up!

I also chanced upon a grail fish for me, the sunburst anthias… best believe I had to pick him up, he looks stunning in person, eats like a pig and is starting to stake a spot in the rock work! So far I’m loving the red tabling acro it’s basic but a beautiful coral.

Still on the hunt for a pintail, or lunate wrasse, but might have to settle for a lineatus or bathyphilus. After either of those and a Midas blenny I think it’s quits on the fish.

mom also thinking of losing the base of the tank with some softies or really wavy LPS to add some more colour and movement for the laymen (my wife, family and non reefing friends) F36A0E96-EF08-4940-9FC6-76DC16CBDD25.jpeg CBF44DEE-66BE-4DCC-99C9-5AE9EAE91261.jpeg F436C09E-F494-42C6-BAD3-84FAF03F44B1.jpeg 44246FD9-B3DC-494B-8A87-498D473E39DC.jpeg EBFDA173-D4EC-4A76-A2D0-591625CB27BF.jpeg 8DB29B55-128E-48A0-89CB-EFC73A9083AC.jpeg 4E4EF681-5F1B-445C-99FA-D47C3A051C48.jpeg

Update: sunburst anthias didn’t make it.

I’m glad I QT’d it with TTM as it was a bacterial infection that did him in, which luckily hasn’t spread over the last 3 months.

outside of that, tank is looking great!!

Sheesh! I didn’t realise how long it has been since an update!

well… it’s been rough, I have a toddler that has taken a liking to colouring in his reef tank with crayons, so the frequency of glass cleaning has ratcheted up. Beyond that, the corals and fish are doing great!! My favourite Millie is starting to branch out as well!

the tort was a little unhappy, but is healing back and hitting its stride! Same as a sarmentosa I have once it was moved!

Got a torn Achilles, but tank is still running fine despite the reduced water changes! Don’t need an Achilles to care for a reef haha!!

Pics to come once I finish up at my follow up appointment

Personally I would see what the return policy is on the baby before downsizing.

Looking pretty slick bud! Torn Achilles, oops guess you will have to spend a few weeks staring at the tank.

Fortunately, my son is now at a convenient bucket carrying phase! So can have a two year old do the hard yards
Surgery is on the table so should be back to normal duties soon!
