my 4 month old mixed 50gal tank has had persistent zero nitrates and low phos for some wks now, with persistent algae growth - no dino's (yet)

I have increased my feedings, with no success. I dont have a fuge set up, but am in the process of getting one running. I am running floss, carbon, skimmer.

Is the current algae just sucking down the phos/nitrates, that then show me zero's?

All my other parameters (alk, pH, ammonia/nitrite, Ca, mg) all perfect

Not sure what I need to do

thx

Unless its a testing error, yes, your algae can be taking up your nutrients.
Have you tried to clean up the rocks, sand or where ever the algae is?
