no I have not fed them yet.
I am unorthodox with my tanks aswell. have not had an issue until now but they are bouncing back so i guess something was bothering them. but its over now.

I was looking for a purple zoa.. in doubt between joker, ppe and purple monstersMy favorite has always been the same.

Zoanthids were the coral that really ignited my love for reef tanks and corals in general. From the beginning I fell in love with all the different colors those little button polyps had to offer. They were cheaper way back when but today they still offer the same benefits as they did many years ago. Colorful, colony growers, pretty easy to grow and you can buy them in colonies or single polys. So today let's talk about zoanthids!
1. Currently what is your favorite zoanthid? (pics would be awesome) I'll make a poll afterwards and we can vote!
2. How many different zoa frags or colones do you have in your reef?

Buy a cheap pair of UV coral glasses and take your shots through one of the lenses.

Hobbyists often worry about pest from live rock, however IME you are more likely to get pests from zoa frags. Aiptasia, bryopsis, vermetids, etc. Zoas, while beautiful, are risky business.

I have the latest S21 (2021 model) and NO WAY does my S21 take pics like this.

I take my pics through the lens of a pair of UV coral glasses. They’re cheap and the picture’s colors come out sharp.
…just a suggestion.
As ClownSchool said, lenses make a big difference. I took these pictures with my old Galaxy S7 and a $25 lens kit (link at bottom). I didn't change any of the settings.
It says they are no longer available, but there are lots of other coral specific lens sets on Amazon.
