Hi all, I'm new to this forum and new to the saltwater aquarium life. I have a 12 gallon or 47 liter tank that I want to make into a low maintenance low price saltwater tank I was looking at maybe a pair of clown fish, but I am unsure what would be suitable I am open to any new ideas and thoughts. But I would like to keep the cost low, I'm thinking around in total 150 to 200 dollars to complete the tank with a stocking sand a coral or two along with the necessary maintenance products.

Welcome to Reef2reef!

With the low budget and small tank, I'd stick to two fish. You could do a pair of clowns, but it will be a tight fit when they get older. You could try a firefish and clown goby. They are cheap and they will be just fine in that tank.

If you want more suggestions, let me know.
