I have been wanting to swap out my refugium with another tank. It is because I believe it has a slow leak. My show tank is acrylic and it has many scratches. I thought when I swap out the tank I might as well scrub out some of scratches in the show today. Does anybody have any suggestions for temporary holdings of nice corals and fish and what to do with the sand so as I do not lose that biological chemistry. Any help will be much appreciated thank you!

For the sand I would would get a bucket/s and put the sand in with tank water and something to keep circulation. It will be like a tank in a bucket so you still have to watch them. As for the corals the best thing I can think of is get a smaller tank and make it a temp frag tank and later use for QT or find a buddy or LFS that will take care of them until your ready. You want to save as much water, sand, and rock as you can so you can reuse it all and prevent a cycle when its ready to put all back together.
