    Cree XPG

    Hey guy quick question can I run XPG and XTE with out optics my tank is 24" high tank .Are you know of any wide angle optic like 70-80 degree which fit on this XPGs

    You will not need any, I used no optics on a 90 gallon and grew/still grow in the 125 sps to the bottom. 60 degrees will intensify the light a ton, go a 2:1 ratio or 1:1 ration 60 to 80, you will need to mount the fixture a little higher to get the sane spread.

    so no optics even if my tank is 24" high that good news what about XTE Royal B I will run them at 700 by Mean Well LPC 35-700

    Stevesleds.com has Luxeon ES on sale and they are proven to be a better LED than the Cree and he has them for 2.99 right now, I just built a fixture for a guy using them and Im totally sold, im working with my manufacturer now to switch over to them.. www.stevesleds.com..... im at www.prestigereefs.com
