I have tried Red Sea NOPOX, seachem Phosguard and Bio pellets and have used Ultralife phos remover if things get out of hand....

Phosguard and the ultralife work quickest.....

What do you mean Nanna? Isn't phosphate a part of everything we feed to our tanks?

I'm sure to some extent it is. But you can minimize the amount you put in by being informed. I choose not to feed flake foods, pellet foods. I don't use Kalkwasser. I change my RO/DI filters regularly. I feed a quality clean frozen food. This is what I do. This is how I work hard at not adding it to my tank. This is how I've been able to go 5yrs without ever having to use GFO or any Phosphate removing media. And yes I do test for them. Highest reading to date has been 0.03 :)

Nope ;) Ask a stupid question and you will get a stupid answer.

Well saying something along the lines of you don't add phosphates to begin with is kinda stupid considering phosphate is essential for life and comes in all foods, and most salt mixes. You can minimize the amount you add to the tank but not adding phosphates is impossible.
