(Had to leave in a hurry, so I have posted what I have and will continue later)

Yep, onto another tank, so I would appreciate your involvement.

It's a brand new 125g that is 6' long. The LFS drilled 4 holes in the back for the returns.
I kind of wish I had the holes drilled for the Herbie style system, since it's the current wave
of filtration. You can see the setup below, with the two returns and the two going to the sump.

I don't know if it really makes a difference or not ?

I'm contemplating on whether to build a square tube stand, because the old wood stand
is made for the 150g we were,....going to build as a reef, but we decided to buy the 125g
as a fish tank, and later build the mostly SPS, 93g cube into our TV entertainment center.

But,....we also decided to add LPS, Mushrooms and Leather corals to this,.... 125g "fish only" tank. lol
NO, SPS's in this tank.

Here's what I have so far, (might miss a few items)

125g tank. 72" long X 18" wide X 20" tall.
4-1/5" diameter holes for 1" plumbing. 2 exits, 2 returns.

New 55g glass tank as the sump. (I'll have questions for the setup)

New, Vertex Omega 150 Protein Skimmer.

Bubble Magnus doser.

Nice condition used, Reef Dynamics BPR135 Media Reactor.

A few Jebao powerheads. (questions on other options later)

Lighting- 3

I think the way you have the tank drilled will be fine but looks good so far. Can't wait the see it set up.

Sorry for the delay.

I did want to try the Herbie, but these holes should be just fine.

Ok, I have the Razor 420's that are used but look in great condition.
I've had them on our 55g just to see how well they work, and their great.

The first question regards the stand we had for a 150g reef, but
we opted for the 125g. It's not only ugly & old, but's only 24" high.
I'm not even sure my skimmer will fit in the sump under the tank ?
I'll have to unbox it and see.

I really want to weld up a square tube metal stand, but the wife doesn't
see why spend apx $150 on tubing, when we have a wood stand.

The second is, I'm looking into a wave maker system. Although I would like
the Maxspect Gyre, it does not have a night mode, and some of the bugs
still need time to work out. The MP's are just too unreliable.

So, I have a few deals on a use or one new, Tunze 6096 controller's.
Then I'll be needing at least two 6095 powerheads. I have a Jebao system
on my wife's tank and it works very well, but I'm wanting better quality on
this tank, but even used Tunze equipment is expensive.

I am looking at a new Apex Jr.

Neptune Systems Apex Jr. AquaController (Base Unit, Display & Temp Probe)

Neptune Systems Apex Jr Aquacontroller Base Unit Display Temp Probe | eBay

I've never had a Apex. The larger model is just too much in cost, and I don't know if I need the bigger boy,
unless you guys highly recommend it ?

So, those are the first main questions.

What do you think ?

Here's the exit and return's that my LFS suggested. Still wondering if I like them or not.
There's pretty sweet and will have to keep the intake's clean with a brush.

Don't know if I like the Loc-Line's sticking out so far, but the numerous adjustment's will be great.
