Do you there is anything in my coral? It looks good most of the day, but sometimes it closes itself out of the blue (at least as far as I can say). Today I saw this black thing on it, do you I should worry??
Thanks! I am still a little bit worried... Well, this is it today... Do you guys think it is getting worst?
I will post a FTS, would you guys tell me where do you think is the best spot for this particular coral??
Thanks!
The Goniopora is considered "The Impossible" coral to keep. Most not surviving past a year in the average aquarium. You've picked a very hard coral to please. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-10/nftt/index.php
What do you consider "looks good"? Goni normally may close for a few hours then open up with polyps that will sway in current. If it is closed for more than a day something is wrong.
Both pictures are a closed goni, using them as reference. If it is open with lights off and closed with lights on. Your lights are too bright. The black area may be a burned spot.
