Hi, we aren't the newest members but haven't officially introduced ourselves yet and we just got our first corals over the weekend! Our tank has been established for 3 months with a clown, a royal gramma, and a yellow watchman goby; more recently we have added a pistol shrimp who instantly paired with the watchman, a tiny tuxedo urchin, and a pink pincushion urchin who is destroying our coraline algae but is really cool. We also have a green coral goby in a 10 gal qt tank (we just lost a second one who was in there with him but was much more frail looking, hopefully the one makes it).

Our set up includes new Reef Radiance DM-155E leds, internal Fluval protein skimmer, hob mechanical filter, Hydor Korilla 750/850 gph power head, and about 25lbs of live rock; no sump.
Our parameters have been consistent, with the alk a bit low at 6.5-7, and the phosphate a bit high at .25, with everything else in good ranges.

Thanks for looking!

Very nice! Loving the build thread :)

Thanks, still sort of weird to have a build thread at all after watching in the shadows for a few months. It is going to be even harder to not go out and get new stuff all the time now.

Looks nice and welcome to R2R!

Thanks!

Looks great. I need to check into the pink pincushion. Coarline is a love hate relationship with me.

Thanks for sharing. I always like to see other 29 gallon tanks in the hobby. Great start so far. Keep it up!

Two quick things:

- If anyone has a similar issue with an urchin eating all of their good algae, we are having good initial returns on New Era MarineGrazer; it has not gotten off that thing since we put it in last night.

- Does anyone NOT medicate their fish while in QT? We have a green coral goby in a qt right now; it is skinny still but it is eating and seems otherwise healthy. We plan on observing it for a few weeks, fattening it up, and if it still seems healthy then I don't think we will medicate at all.
