Just started my reef up about two days ago. The water is settling and it's almost time for a fish.

Equipment consist of a canister filter not sure the brand. A Red Sea prizm skimmer (not deluxe version) some power heads sun sun (sun sun uses hydors parts from china). And just to start filtering before canister comes I've got a hob power filter got it at walmart. Also 120 watt Chinese LEDs.
Mix of Carib sea dry an live sand (10 pounds each.)25-30 pounds of rock. I'll keep you all updated when I get my fish but here are some pics... Feel free to ask questions.

That power head is so powerful you can see in pic #3 it has blown down to the glass. 800gph might be a little to much but what ever....

I like the rock work! The stand looks like a computer desk, just make sure it's stable. Also, you could paint the back black to hide your cords. But you're off to a great start! :)

Thanks Avery and yes I used that stand for this aquarium in the past it has no bowing. The backround I'm ordering today is black or solid blue it's to late to paint the back of the tank but I'm going to put a solid black backround on & thanks my rock work took a lot of planing but it is not glued together or supported my bars it's all natural. I'm tempted to opoxy it but still debating. I move stuff a lot! And thanks again.
