Hi everyone,

It's been awhile since I've posted on here. I lost focus on this hobby for awhile, but now I'm burning to get back to my roots. So I figured I should start this thread about my new idea for a man cave surrounded by fish tanks. I'm not an artist or good at using computers to drawl out my ideas/design. I'm better at doing it on the fly.

So I asked my brother, who to me is an expert carpenter, to help me build this. He also designs and builds thousand dollar humidors. They range from $1500-$5000. Pretty insane.

I'm not in to spending a lot of money on this kind of stuff so I left a small budget for it. But my fish tanks I spare no expense.

Here's the general idea. My large 250g fish tank (in the picture) is staying there. So I'm just going to put an "L" shaped bar/Bench/Stand in on the other side to make a "U" shape of aquariums. In the middle of the "U" will be two recliners with a tv on the wall above the tanks along with an Xbox, surround sound etc. I have no idea yet what aquariums I will put there, but it won't be one large one. Rather it'll be a few small ones and ALL the tanks in here will be connected to a common sump. I hope I explained it well enough.

Time for a few pix.
The old setup.

Relocated the sump for now and cleared the space for the "L" shape bar/bench/stand

Decided to relocate the sump. Had to make some modifications. This is a whole separate phase and project in itself. Had to disconnect the main reef for 24 hrs in order to do this relocation. So today I had to get things back online as quickly as possible. That's why it's not very organized.
Removed cross members from the main reefs stand. I contacted the stand fabricator and he gave me the go ahead.

Had to cute the lip off the original sump to get it to fit under the stand. Then had to add a brace to the sump.

Came up with a quick solution for the electrical.

Bump. Would love to see an update. Loved your old systems and the colours you pulled out the acros.

Strangest thing. All of the sudden The day after I built the stand I got a weird feeling that maybe I'm done with the hobby. So since then I've been buying and racing RC trucks and completely put the reefing on the back burning. I haven't even tested my water in months. Most I've done is fed my fish. Here's what it looks like now.
