So I got a baby Humu Humu yesterday he is less than a inch in length. He was doing great! I walked out of the room for a few hours came back and could not find him. I always have the fear that they would get sucked over the HOB overflow and to no surprise that's what happened. I got lucky and was able to get him out soon enough tp save him and he is doing great once again. With this fear coming true once I don't want it to happen again. Or have a bigger fish pass and get stuck on the siphon and over my tank or burn out my pump. Does anyone know of any DIY fixes or products to prevent this. I have tried taking the net off a breeder net but it gets a lot of waste and limits the water flow.

My picture is sideways for some reason.
I may have to give the egg crate a try
