Favia Dying??

I am not sure what has happened to my favia frag, but in just one day it seems to have "busted open" and is now spewing brown stuff out of one of the heads. Does anyone know what this is?

Looks like it could be the start of a Brown-Jelly infection. I would start dipping it with Iodine, and blowing off as much of the brown as I can, in the dip container.

+1 and watch it closely .If it dosn't get better frag it before it gets to the other head.

My Favia looks like it could be the same color as yours, see thread above..symptoms are a little different..In my experiences a gaping mouth on LPS corals for no reason has never been a good sign
