I have an MP10ES and an MP40WES for sale. Both pumps work great. The MP40 was manufactured in 2013. It had a bit of tearing in the insulation around the wires near the motor and near the controller, but I covered it with some electrical tape. This minor defect has no adverse effect on the pump's operation. The power supply is 2 months old. The MP10 I just bought from reefer999, it works great and is super quiet. My problem is the thickness of the glass of my tank is 1/2 an inch, which exceeds Ecotech's recommended 3/8 inch maximum. There is no manufacture date on the back of it, but it works perfectly fine. According to reefer999, Ecotech says the manufacturing date can be found by upgrading it to a wireless version. This is the copied text from reefer999's post, which is the post I bought it from:
"The exact manufacture date is unknown, but they're from 2012. This is because after
removing velcro, double-sided tape due to moving; the sticker on the back is no more
unfortunately. I contacted Ecotech and asked if there was any other way to find out,
this is what they told me:
"Thank you for contacting EcoTech Marine and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. The
other other way you would be able to tell the serial number from that MP10 would be to
program the pump using a ReefLink and EcoSmart Live. That said, ESL is only compatible
with MP10wES or wireless VorTechs and you will be unable to determine manufacturing
date. If you have any other questions, please let me know." "
Anyway, the pumps work fine. I cant use the MP10, and I want to go a different route with the pumps in my tank, so Im selling the MP40WES. Im looking for $250 for the MP40WES, $160 for the MP10ES. Take both for $400. I will cover shipping, buyer must add 3% to cover PayPal, or send as a gift. You're welcome to make an offer. PM me with any questions. I will upload pics tonight. Thanks!
