Would either of these cause z/p melting?

So I consider myself well educated in zoas and palys..but my tank is going through a funk and I can't figure out why. I have a nuvo 16 with LED lighting, full of 60+ z/p, some huge chalices, and some acans. My daily dosing schedule consist of dosing zeovit coral snow and Vitalizer, 1ml of fuel every 3-4 days. I also dose phyto..but I've been out for a couple weeks. Been using this schedule for over 4 months no problems, great results.

So here are the things I've changed in the past couple weeks and what's been going on.
1. Added new media reactor and about 100ml biopellets.
2. Haven't dosed tank with phyto in over 3 weeks..usually do every other day.

1. New additions into the tank have a 50/50 chance of surviving.. I lose some and save some.
2. A few of my long time frags are starting to shrivel up and melt, and then there's some that are thriving.

Let me know if this sparks anyone with some ideas..I want this problem gone by the time coral con comes around..

What are your nutrient levels?

Bacteria consuming nitrate/phosphate can also lower alk.

That mag is high. I have had a few palys melt away when I raised my mag to fight bryopsis.

Could be too clean of water thats causing them to melt and die off.

Can you post a picture of the zoas and hydroids .

Are they the colonial ones?! Or the long stringy ones.

I'm in class, but if you Google ZOA hydroids in Google and get that pic of the little white hydroids on that colony of green plays, that's what I have

They will bother them but idk about melting . Have those things too best thing to do is scrape your rock with a plain tooth brush make sure it is clean and no tooth paste has ever been on it and if you get a new one make sure to rinse well in r/o water

Yea my tank has its own toothbrush haha. I could only count about 10 in the whole tank, which were all either on ZOA/paly colonies or within 1/2 an inch of one. Going to brush/pull off the ones I can get to then do a dip. Ordering some more phyto too..been out for weeks

Yes, I have some exactly like that and a few that have more of a polyp/flowery extension rather than a little white bulb
