Alright everyone, this is the last MACNA talk we have for this year. :(

BUT....It's a great talk from Dr. Tim about what bacteria are responsible for the tank cycle and ways you can use them to get the job done quicker!

Hey guys, first thanks for recording and posting Dr. Tim’s presentation. Really good stuff! I loved how he explained if we are cycling a tank fishless to use lower salinity, no lights, and raise the heat!

Looking at your previous video on cycling a tank (I believe it was the BRS WWC series) you guys discussed cycling in a brute can for 4 months. This time compensated for the tank being bare bottom.

After listening to Dr Tim, going forward would you:

1. Lower the salinity
2. Raise the temp
3. Still use the corse bricks with the dimples? If not what would you suggest, and the maintenance for this media.
4. During that 4 month process when would you begin doing water changes and what percentage?

As always, thanks for info!
