It can last a bit. Honestly, it is amazing how much a tiny snail puts out. I swear my tank is Rated X for snails. I have dozens of new eggs every day. I guess that means they are healthy at least.

It can last at least hours to all day and night. Stir up some detritus and get the water murky and they really go to town... Trochus do at least.
