My new 60 gallon cube!

So as most of you know I lost my home in hurricane sandy, we still are searching for a new home and staying with family until then. Sadly along with ur home the reef tank went as well. I was in contact with marineland who DONATED a new aquarium and filter setup to my family. All I can say is that you. This will be my build thread but it will be slow as for now we have nowhere to put it. So this thread is a start thread and a thank you thread. Thank you to the R2R community and thanks to marineland. Here is a photo of it stored downstairs in my folks basement along with what's left of our belongings.

wow sorry to hear about your losses, but yes i love the spirit amongst reefers during hard times, that was awesome of Marineland to donate the tank.

unfortunately we did not close on friday the house appraised under the listing value by $30k
we are now awaiting short sale approval to close.. i'm praying for a quick answer as we really wish to have our kids back into their own home. unfortunately Hurricane Sandy really wrecked home values on the shore

i'll post pics of the equipment tonight or tomorrow depending on my work schedule

. Live rock cycling! Yes it's one of theirs but I got it through anemone reef corp. all of my rock and anemones will be through them.

While adding salt to my aquarium tonight, Emma my 5 year old asked me if I was "making it a saltine" we'll I guess you can see how easy it is to fall in love with her
