I've started my 10g refugium build. Everything is almost ready for water and flow test. My question is what would be a good light and plant set up for my build. My main tank is only a 40g rimless acrylic clear 4 life tank so it's not crazy big. The main uses 2 custom built Reef Builders LEDs with 60 degree optics. The refugium build will be overflow going into the intake/sump, into refugium, through bubble trap into return.

As far as lighting goes almost any Fluorescent bulb with 6500k will work. I used Zoo Med Ultra Sun Daylight Compact Fluorescent Bulb from Petco and works great. I would use cheato. I use cheato and mangroves.

Yeah I'm tired of the canister filter. Red vs blue made a good watch while building it.

Yeah got the x1 the night it came out. Yeah that makes sense. Kind of the purpose of a refugium.

Nice! I would go with a 20 long if I was you. If I ever go any bigger I will need a bigger one. This 10g is going to be just big enough for mine. I really don't play online anymore. Used to play a lot now I just have too much going on.

Hey harlem, I have a 75g as well. I use a 30g long as my sump. It Is divided into 3 sections.
1st section is on the left side and is my intake from my DT. I have live sand and chaeto in it.
2nd section (middle) is where I keep my skimmer and heater.
3rd section (right side) contains my return pump.

I built it myself and so far is been a great sump.
