Well I have an update on my accident. I had surgery on my arm and my cut tendent. My arm is now wrapped in a soft and hard cast. With a ace wrap. Can't move my arm or use it. I'll be out of work for a minimum of a few weeks. I can do a few things to my stand but nothing that involves using power tools.

Here is what my arm looks likes now. I didn't know if I should post my open wound.

Dude! Ouch! Hope everything turns out ok man. What type of lights are u planning on running, sorry if you've mentioned it here, I must have over looked it. I rly wanted to run MH. You can tell they are still tried and true when it comes to growth. But the idea of a chiller turned me off.
I will be running the ai hydra 52 Lighting. I don't want to use a chillier but living in the desert don't help. So just to be safe I will be running a, chiller just to be safe

I am getting well. Good drugs. And a few helping hands from my parents. Things are just more difficult for me to do things, but I'll get it done. I just started framing the base of my cabinet. Will continue more tomorrow... thanks again for the support. Means a lot

The only thing that sucks is out of work till I heal which means no Monday. That's the only down side.

I started making my own salt water with red sea coral pro salt canned came out perfect. I kept assessing m adding salt till I hit 1.025. This will decently defiantly save me money.

Well I should be getting my splint off Tuesday, I've had time to get my canopy framed. I need to skin the canopy and stand. Almost done.

So the recovery is going well. Good to hear! How's that salt working out for you? I filled my tank with tubs from the LFS they use reef crystals but I'm going to have to start mixing my own soon. I was thinking seachem reef. Can't wait too see how this stand comes out, good work!

The recovery is going well my hand is currently in a splint I am able to move all my fingers and wrist. There is some pain, however even though I had this accident I am not letting this stop me.

Over the past week I have filed all the drill holes with wood filler. Used wet rag to remove all the excess wood filler. Still need to add a second cost. A light sand. I wasn't able to build my cabinet with one hand so I worked on my canopy, which I should finish the frame tomorrow.

The coral pro salt is working well for me. When I first looked into it I found out that my lfs uses coral pro salt, however they use the coral pro salt in bag form. I have mixed a few batches and it's working out well so far. I wanted to use the same salt as my lfs and the 5 gallon bucket is efficient for me. It is cheaper then buying the salt water mix.

The only part that will determine how fast I get the stand complete is when I'm able to go back to work. I need money for the rest plus my soon to come hospital bills

Here is the canopy. All I need to do is skin it. Then add trim around it. It is not much but it is a little progress.

Yea I've thought about a acrylic sump however I want a sump the size of a 40 breeder and I can make my glass sump cheaper then what it cost for a acrylic sump. I already have a glass sump. So all I need to buy are the glass baffles. However with all that said thanks. I will keep it in mind everything depends on how my hand heals
